What Boldcall is

A game for friend groups. Someone makes a call about something coming up (a game, a show, a family thing), everyone secretly picks For sure or Nope, and it all comes out on reveal day. There's no money, no prizes, no in-app purchases, and groups are invite-only.

On for every account

• Only people with an invite can see or join a group. There's no private messaging.
• Names stay off public rankings unless you turn them on.
• Quiet hours for notifications (10 p.m. to 8 a.m.) are on from the start.
• Posts get checked for slurs, threats, sexual content involving minors and personal info before they go up.
• Dares can't involve money, alcohol, drugs or anything dangerous.
• A real person reviews every report, aiming for 24 hours.

Age and parent consent

Boldcall doesn't ask for a birthday. Some states now make app stores check age and get a parent's OK. That's Texas right now, with Utah, Louisiana and California coming. In those places, Apple and Google handle it, and we only see the age range and consent status they share. If a parent takes back consent through the app store, we act on it.

Under 13? Boldcall isn't for you yet. We delete accounts we find out belong to kids under 13.

Parents, here's how to reach us

• To delete your teen's account or get a copy of their data, email privacy@boldcallapp.com. We'll check that you're their parent or guardian.
• To report something your teen saw, email safety@boldcallapp.com.
• Screen Time on iPhone and Family Link on Android can limit or block any app, Boldcall included.

Trash talk shows up in front of the whole group. That's a good moment to talk about the difference between teasing a friend and piling on. It's the same line our community rules draw.
